Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Search terms entered into a third-party widget are handled under that provider’s practices. Baraga County Court Docket does not request court-file identifiers, dates of birth, license numbers, account data, or other protected personally identifying information for its own record collection.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a person sends a message through a communication channel made available by the operator, the information supplied in that message may be retained to respond, maintain the communication, or meet legal obligations. Do not send sealed, juvenile, financial, medical, or other restricted court information.
Data We Gather Automatically
Like most online services, the site operator or hosting provider may receive technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring page, and general usage timing. This information may be recorded in server logs, security tools, or aggregated analytics.
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies or similar technologies may be used for basic operation, measurement, advertising, fraud prevention, or third-party widget functionality. Browser controls may limit cookies, though a provider’s features may not operate the same way after those controls are changed.
What We Do With This Data
Technical or voluntarily supplied information may be used to operate and secure the service, understand aggregated use, respond to a direct communication, detect misuse, comply with law, and maintain records. The operator does not use a court search query to make a decision about a person’s credit, work, housing, insurance, or eligibility. No court-record search result is used as a consumer report.
No Court-Record Data on File
Baraga County Court Docket is a reference to official sources, not the custodian of Baraga County court records. Official court case histories, files, calendars, certified copies, and transcripts remain with the appropriate Michigan court, clerk, or reporter. Michigan court-record access is governed by court rules, including MCR 8.119, rather than ordinary executive-branch FOIA processing.
Third-Party Search Partners
Third-party providers may supply the widget or services linked from it. Their collection, storage, security, and use of information are governed by their own notices and terms. A third-party provider may use cookies, advertising identifiers, payment information, or other information under its own policies. Review that provider’s policy before giving it personal information.
Links to Other Websites
This reference links to Michigan courts, Baraga County offices, federal court sources, and other official resources. External operators control those destinations. Their privacy practices can differ from this policy, and the operator is not responsible for their content, availability, or data handling.
Who Might See Your Data
Information may be available to the operator, hosting and security vendors, analytics or advertising vendors, communication vendors, and authorities when legally required. It may also be transferred in connection with an ownership, restructuring, or asset transaction, subject to applicable law. The operator does not sell official Baraga County court files because it does not maintain them.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures are used to protect information under the operator’s control. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure. Use care when communicating online, and direct official record requests to the court office that maintains the record.
Users Under 18
This reference is not directed to children. It does not knowingly seek personal information from a child. If the operator learns that personal information from a child was collected in a way that requires deletion or other action, it will address the information as required by applicable law.
Your Data Rights
Depending on location and applicable law, a person may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or information about processing of personal data held by the operator. These rights do not make this private reference the custodian of a court record. Requests concerning an official court case history or document must go to the relevant Baraga County court, clerk, or reporter. Michigan Freedom of Information Act procedures apply to qualifying executive public bodies, while judicial court-record access follows court rules and statutes.
Updates to This Policy
The operator may revise this policy to reflect operational, legal, or technology changes. The version posted here applies when it is published. Continued use after a revision is subject to the updated policy to the extent permitted by law.
